Cant smell or taste

Im 30weeks pregnant. i had cold a few days back and one day i felt my ear was itchy so i poured a few drops of oil into it, while i had cold. my one ear instantly started paining. next day i showed myself to ENT n he told me that i had swelling somewhere inside my ear. he prescribed me a few meds and ear n nose drops. but somehow ive been noticing for the past 6-7 days that i cant smell or taste anything. im so frustrated now. it really depressing for me. please help.
