Hello It depends on density of cataract... If cataract is early and not dense then retinal scars can be detected with indirect Ophthalmoscope And OCT But in case of mature cataract, it becomes difficult to assess retina

There is no incisions given in retina. Small prick like incisions are given on cornea and they can be detected on slit lamp examination.
