Cervix cancer biopsy
Hi my mother in law was prescribed biopsy from cervix after usg scan and pap smear test. Biopsy report says carcinoma in situ. They have further recommend for IHC P 63 test. I wanted to know if is this cancer confirmation and if it is can it be cured. And wat stage cancer is. And wat is further treatment. Plz advise

Carcinoma in situ is a precancerous condition (hopefully) as it is detected by Pap smear.get an MRI also to see the lymph nodes and adjacent tissue invasion.if not then only hysterectomy should suffice

Hope it's in early stage on further investigation.and examination then only can exact staging can be done..meet a gynaecologist of gynae oncologist for further treatment...

This is not a cancer but a precancerous lesion It can definitely be cured by hysterectomy
