My mother is diagnosed with T1/N1 carcinoma in the Buccal Mucosa and N1 to a nearby lymph node in the throat.
She underwent surgery and margins of good tissue around the primary tumor was 3mm-5mm, as per the histopathology report.
The lymph node showed extracapsular extension in the histopathology report. Owing to CIN (nephritis), Cisplatin is ruled out.
We wanted to know if Cetuximab should be considered with RT or is only RT sufficient for this stage? We planned for RT in the coming week.

She would have merited concurrent chemoradiation, but given the background of CIN, your treating doctor should take a call on whether to give radiation alone.
