My father smokes in the house every day and the smell gets in my room. I'm forced to cover my nose with my shirt and this affects my breathing. Due to this I feel pain in my chest. What is causing this pain?

I understand your concern. Passive smoking as in your case can also cause difficulty in breathing and chest discomfort. It might be due to autonomic arousal symptoms as well. Suggesting your father to quit smoking by taking deaddiction treatment would be ideal. Some counselling and if required medical help might be useful. I would also be more than happy to help you with that if you are looking for online assistance. You can directly consult with me through Practo as needed. Discussions will be held confidential. Online chat consultation is also available.
