My employer is mandating chicken pox vaccinations for all who have not previously been exposed. To my knowledge, I have never had chicken pox or the vaccine. I've heard that someone my age (37) could develop a debilitating case of chicken pox from the vaccine. Is it safe for me or not?

There is a slight risk which is present with vaccination, but it isn't necessary that you will develop the disease, in a very small percentage of people who have the vaccination develop chicken pox soon after. It is safer to have the vaccination at this point than being exposed to it.
