On Tuesday of this week I took my azithromycin pills for my treatment. I read the instructions to abstain from sex for at least a week however I engaged in sexual intercourse yesterday. Is my treatment still going to be successful in treating the STD and can my sexual partner still contract the disease during the period of the treatment?
