Without water it creates more effect. That's why we need to rinse mouth with only mouthwash, no water. If you do it properly then there are no chances to swallow it.
Next Steps
You have to take 10 ml of mouthwash in a glass. Then you have to gargle for 20 to 30 seconds in mouth and then you can spit it.
Do mouthwash twice in a day, once in the morning after brushing and once in night after brushing.
Chlorhexidine mouth rinse is meant to be used 30-60 mins after brushing. Use it undiluted. Dont have anything for atleast an hour after its usage. Dont use it for more than 2 weeks at a stretch.
Hi
Chlohexidine should be used only on your dentists recommendation.
5 ml mouthwash to be diluted with 5 ml water mix and gargle. Don't eat or drink anything for an hr after that or you may get brown stains on your teeth.
If you want a mouthwash for long term maintenance then go for Listerine or Colgate Plax.
Hope this helps.
