Bengaluru is considered allergy capital of India by us doctor's due to unique combination of pollen, pollution & the fickle weather which tends to be on the cooler side. This makes it a ripe combination for allergies & sinus infections. Now back to your question of keeping your lungs healthy, there is no magic pill..avoid smoking, wear mask in areas with high pollution, get a pulmo consult once a year if you have family history of asthma & don't ignore your common cold, treat it immediately so that it doesn't persist & develop into sinusitis. I would also recommend flu vaccine shot yearly to help you reduce the frequency of common flu attacks
