Conscious Septoplasty with SMR
I am scheduled to have a Septoplasty with Subsubmucous Resection (SMR) on December 18, 2017 in my Otolaryngologists Office, under local anesthesia to correct a deviated septum. I am being prescribed Diazepam and Percocet to take prior to arrival, but I am unsure of the doses as the prescriptions will not be picked up until December 12th. The doses will likely be 10mg each. Usually septoplasty can easily be performed under local anesthesia under moderate sedation. It is a quick and simple procedure. In any case you will give given stronger intravenous sedative during the procedure and local anesthesia will be injected inside your nose. So you need not worry
