I have been having a pain in the left side of my lower back which radiates upwards below the right shoulder blade and also sometimes in the buttocks. I am very sure that it has been caused by weight lifting exercises like squats and shoulder presses. I've consulted a doctor and according to him it is a muscle spasm. I also got an LS spine x-ray and the report said there was a subtle posterior compression in the L5 vertebrae. The doctor has advised muscle relaxers and some exercises. No improvemen
