Constant pain in knee after an injury
Two days ago I fell a couple of times on my right knee. I know that there are no broken bones, but there is a constant & sharp pain, and the bones seem to grind against each other when I walk. What might have happened, and which specialist should I see?

as u are 53 year old.. grinding sound means ur protective cartilage in joint has degenerated and bone rubing to each other n cauing pain n grinding sound( i.e OA knee).. because of injury there may be some ligaments or meniscus injury...
Next Steps
get done X ray of both knee (standing) Ap/ lat (to rule out OA knee) U may need MRI knee to rule out ligament /meniscus injury but its better to consult Orthopaedic /knee  surgeon near by to u after getting done x ray knee thank u

Hi pain in the knee should not be ignored. It might be a meniscus tear or some other soft tissue injury. Grinding sound may be because of weakness over the quadriceps muscles which will improve with exercises
Next Steps
consider consulting a sports specialist and arthroscopic surgeon
