Constant period
I have Had PCOS for about 10 years and have irregular periods but since Sept 1st have had a heavy flow on and off. More on than off. I haven’t taken birth control in years but used to take the progesterone only pill. Does it sound like I need it back or does this sound like something more serious?

If there is a sudden increase in periods then it would be worthwhile to get a pelvic scan done followed by a pippele endometrial biopsy. But the likelihood of sinister causes are minimal. once confirming normality of endometrium your options would be to go on the contraceptive pill either combined or progesterone only if not consider a Mirena Coil intra uterine system.
