Constipation
20 month old baby haven't pooped since 3 day. Yesterday we gave stool softener. But still today she didn't poop. Now a days she has reduced her water intake. She is fussy eater sometime she eat well some time she dont. Do I need to wait one more day to come naturally or shal I consult doctor. She is active now

Give laxatives like PEG liquid or lactulose syp... Stop milk and maida products... Give high fiber diet

Is constipation a frequent issue for your child?? If it's just one off incident, give plenty of water with banana papaya and curd. It will happen on its own. If not, glycerine suppositories can be used.

Give any type of liquids more. Warm water Give banana, pappaya or orange Give curd or buttermilk . Diet and toilet training is most important factor in constipation management. Medication is temporary solution but diet is most important.
