Constipation in baby
My 1 year 7 moths baby is constipated from long ti me doc prescribed laxopeg pediatric powder one a week again she is feeling the same thing as before constipated holding the potty when she gets n crying for that n because of which she is getting rashes n for that doc gave her hhfucid ointment i applied that time for 7 days but now what to do i m not getting again the same thong shal i start the powder again n oinnment als

Mam i would suggest if ur babys problem is longterm,then the cause for constipation have to be worked up. Some organic causes like hypothyroidism, intestinal problems etc can cause constipation.if they r ruled out then it is functional.then modify diet and continue peg.apply smuth ointment near anus. She has to take plenty of oral fluids.

Protectis drops 5 drops once perday x 21 days, Syp Duphalac 5 ml Hs x 10 days,, Shield ointment inside anus twice perday x 1 month, Decrease milk, increase Solid food

It's very common at this age group Give ur baby plenty of oral liquids, Plain water, Fruits and fruit juices including seasonal Fruits. Give fiber rich food items in diet  Green vegetable,  beans, carrots,sweet potatos ets Avoid to give maida products like biscuits, Restrict milk intake to 500 -600 ml per day
