Constipation: Stool type 1 for 73 years
My grandmother 73 year old is suffering from Constipation: Stool type 1 from last 8 to 12 months. Doctor has advised Duphalac syrup but it is not helping much. Is there anyway to treat this problem??? She is struggling a lot and even after using Duphalac syrup 5 ml a day, she finds it really tough. Stool type 1 or sometimes it doesn't come out for 2 to 3 days. Any medical help/ advise would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi, for constipation kindly Take plenty of salads with lunch and dinner. Increase intake of water. Avoid bread(maida items).Try Issabgol Husk powder. Take Flax seeds, fry it in a pan without oil, then put it in a mixi, make powder and you can take 1 teaspoon with jaggery morning and night after meal .worm infestation also causes Constipation so deworming is recommended. Feel free to ask any further quary.
Next Steps
Dose of Duphalac is not adequate
