Consultation for further treatment .
I am 23yrs old female n both my parents hv diabetes . I did a blood test for regular check up and had my FBPS : 168mg/dL on 18th May , 2018 . After consulting a general physician I was given Glyciphage SR 1mg twice daily after having food . On 3rd June 2018 did another blood test and my FBPS : 127 n PPBS : 167 mg/dL. Shall I keep hvng ds medication of this dosage only ? Thank you

You surely need to continue Metformin but that alone isn't sufficient. A second drug has to be added based on your history. Being a young diabetic you need to maintain strict glycemic control (HbA1C< 6.5%) to be able to reduce risk of chronic complications. Considering your age, I must also advise you observe strict contraception. Pregnancy must not be accidental but planned in young diabetic patients.
