Continues hiccups
My dad 62 years old was suffering from fistula and we got his operation done for fistula but when he was suffering for fistula he suddenly got hiccups which are not stoping at all even after fistula operation its still there we consulted pycisian they asked to do sonogragy for stomach which should nothing did ECG its also normal but hiccups are still there if it stops it again starts in sometime had givin medicine but no use please help sir ???

Persistent hiccups can be due to dehydration and electrolyte imbalance (commonly low sodium) with a possible uncontrolled diabetes. Other causes may include gastritis with reflux esophagitis.
