I've been having toothache since last 3-4 days.I visited a dentist yesterday. She took a x-ray and told me that there is puss inside my upper tooth next to wisdom tooth and swelling also which is causing me pain.She gave me a painkiller ketorol dt and an antibiotic moxikind cv and suggested a root canal treatment. I am afraid a bit and also confused. Please guide me is this treatment going in right direction?

If your tooth has a deep cavity then a root canal is the right treatment to save your tooth. After the root canal you will require a crown on that tooth.

If you could kindly post a picture of the x ray, it would be very helpful. Medicines are fine. At the same time do warm saline rinse (salt in lukewarm water gargle) atleast 3-4 times a day. it will reduce the swelling and pain.
