Coombs test tensions in pregnancy
Dear doctor, I m 23 weeks pregnant, my blood group is O-ve and my husband blood group is b+ve this is my first pregnancy ... 3 days before doctor told me to do coombs test..I have done and it comes -ve. My question is that doctor told me to do again coombs test....is it possible that 2nd time it comes positive?????? What will happen if it. Comes positive??? Is there any dangerous for me and my baby? Plz help me out...I m very much tensed

Coombs test that is done for you is usually called Indirect Coombs Test. To find out if you have any "anti rh antigen antibody". It's a good thing that you got the first report as negative. As your husband is Positive blood group, in prenatal screening it is better to be double sure. Usually that shouldn't come positive. And even if the test is positive there are steps that can be taken to protect the baby. And if this is your first pregnancy rest assured if your test is negative there is no harm to the baby and to you.
