I am 29 yrs old, I have coughing for last 2 weeks. I consult a doctor saying to him as dry cough only and no other symptoms. He gave medicine for 5 days .After 5 days it was not care and he gave me suggestion for blood test and chest x ray , but reports where normal and only ESR was increased to 33. He told you have allergy of dust smoke etc and give medicine for 10 days. Now I get the coughing only at night at 12 or 1 am for 5 to 10 minutes and in morning i wake up.The coughing is very painful

You seem to be suffering post viral cough which is common type of dry cough syndrome after an attack of viral upper respiratory tract infection. Usually it will resolve on its own within few days. You can use dry cough syrups, strepsils like lozenges and steam inhalation for faster recovery
