Impacted wisdom teeth are 3rd molars which are covered with bone as it couldn't find space to erupt or it does erupt partially but the remaining part is still impacted.

An intraoral X-ray and sometimes Digital OPG x-ray is advised to locate the position of your impacted teeth in the bone.
Health Tips
Although performed by a specialist it is considered as a minor surgical procedure and you will be given local anaesthesia to numb that area. After the procedure you will be given sutures (stitches) which will be removed in a recall visit usually after 7 days. Minor swelling and discomfort can be expected. Rest of instructions the concern surgeon will definitely brief you.
