Can ct scan cause of cancer sir ..last week I had ct scan for renal tumor now I saw about radiation in ct scan that's way I am worried sir

Factually Yes CT scan can cause cancer. But you will need to have 100's of CT scan for it to have a significant or even measurable risk. Radiation induced cancers are almost exclusively seen in the patients who recieve continuous radiotherapy and not due to a diagnostic CT scan ir x ray

Actually one CT scan can't cause cancer. For causing cancer , the effective radiation dose should be more than 50 mSV in a year. and the cancer occurs after a period of 10-15 years. So no need to worry about it as chances of getting cancer with one diagnostic CT scan is almost NIL.
