Damaged miniscus
My wife at 42 have a damaged miniscus as per the mri report. grade1 signal/mucoid degeneration of body and both horns of medical miniscus. Reduced lateral patellofemoral joint space. Early osteoarthritic changes in left knee joint.Mild knee joint effusion.Mild sprain of anteriar and posterior cruciate ligaments with mild buckling of posterior cruciate ligament. I have been recommended to PRP injection as there is no other way healing. I am trying to understand...can this be recovered back to normal. Can miniscus be grown back. Is there a way to become normal. What should i do. Is PRP a long term solution, because she has to find a way for another 12 years before knee replacement. Can anyone show some hope to me. I really need help.

There is no shortcut to rehabilitation. Whatever interventions are done remember that a good knee rehabilitation which includes Strengthening,  balance and proprioception training will be invaluable. If you don't follow it now in 20-25 years she will end up having a knee replacement surgery. Just a cursory glance on the Internet can she's more light on knee rehab However if done under proper guidance will yeild excellent results within weeks
