DCIS diagnosed with cancer family hx
Hi. I am 31 yrs old female with family history of cancer(mother died with breast cancer at age of 40).I did an MRI and then a 6 month follow-up MRI and then on the follow up the doctor suspected something and did a biopsy and I was diagnosed with DCIS with high grade cancer cells. I did a genetic test and result was positive for Braca 2 with uncertain significance classification. My doctor now ordered a sentinel node biopsy. I am bit confused, shouldn't my cancer be non-invasive? What is next?

You are at high risk of developing breast cancer. Provide biopsy report to know the surgical procedure. Lumpectomy is required. Sentinel lymph node biopsy is recommended. After surgery, radiation therapy to whole breast is required for sure.
Next Steps
Provide biopsy report. Radiation therapy.
