Dengue fever
My 10 year son has fever since 2 days. Got dengue in reports. 3rd day fever reduced. Platelets is 3lac. Giving him water. Please tell me from which day it starts recovering . How will I know . Fever reduce is good or bad sign. Very worried.

Dengue fever is just another viral infection spread by mosquito bites. Platelets count start falling usually when fever is subsiding,i.e,4-5 th day. Just keep a watch for rashes. Counts below 40,000 are clinically significant,till then,nothing has to be done. Ensure a healthy balanced diet and plenty of fluids. Use paracetamol for fever,no other medicine.
