Dengue postive.
My platlates are 154 and wcb is 3.3 rcb is 5.16 and dengue positive dr advise crocin and rest with diet i have very less fever arounfld 98 kabhi aa raha kabhi ja raha plz suggest what should i do... Report enclosed plz help.

The treatment for dengue is supportive and you need to monitor your platelet levels. I would advise you to do a Dengue IgM test to confirm if you're still having the virus. Stay well hydrated and eat well. Control the temperature and watch out for any bleeding.

- Avoid cold food and water, preferably have hot food and water
- Don't skip meals have a liquid diet containing soups and progressively increase to solid diet as per how you can tolerate.
- Have food rich in vitamin C such as oranges to help build immunity.
- Drink plenty of fluids, drink 3 liters of water per day
- Do salt water gargling with lukewarm water thrice a day
- Do steam inhalation (plain steam) thrice a day and apply vaporub over your chest and nose
- Maintain good personal hygiene(Wash you hands regularly)
- Rest plenty, body heals while at rest
If the condition persists or worsens visit nearest ER at earliest

Hi.. the platelet level is within range for now but the doctor would have advised u to repeat the investigation to know the platelet level so please do as advised as monitoring platelet level is crucial in dengue..u can continue Crocin .. take plenty of fluids ( at least 2 litres of water and another 1-2 litres of tender coconut, buttermilk, fresh juice)..if fever is more then u can also do sponging with cold water to bring down the temperature..
