Dengue Synptoms
I had very high fever on last thursday. I went to see a doctor later that day and she pescribed me some medicines. After that i had no fever but i had severe body ache. Two days later upon revisit, i was asked to do some tests. And i was diagnosed with Dengue NS1 positive. I dont have any serious problem. I have rashes on my body which itches a lot since the 2nd day of fever. And my platelet count is 1.4 lac/cumm. Please tell me if my condition could worsten.

Dengue fever is caused by dengue virus. Symptoms include fever, head ache, joint and muscle aches. If treated appropriately recovery takes up to 1-2 weeks . In small proportion of cases It can lead to life threatening dengue hemorrhagic fever in which bleeding can occur from mucous membranes due to low platelet levels. Normal platelet count is 1.5 to 4.5 lakh per cubic mm. If platelet count reduced to less than 20000 resulting in  severe bleeding.
