Dental caries approaching vital pulp
My two molar teeth (left and right side) have deep black caries. But both are asymptomatic. Yesterday I had visited a dentist and after doing x-ray he showed me the pictures of my teeth. In both teeth the caries or cavity hasn't reached the vital pulp yet. In the right molar tooth the cavity was very near to the pulp so I chose to do RCT on it, as the dentist had suggested. RCT is done. But on the other tooth there is some distance between the pulp and the cavity so the dentist has given me option to do RCT on it or to just fill it up and capping it. I am confused. What should I do? Isn't it better to preserve the vital pulp? But I also don't want the pulp to be infected in future. What should I choose? Please suggest.

Hello sir.... For that second tooth you can go for filling with protection with subbase of calcium hydroxide over that pulp(under the filling material) ...this calcium hydroxide will helps to form dentine bridge in future which will helps to protect the pulp.....Get the treatmet immediately done ... otherwise the infection will reaches the pulp
Next Steps

For your second tooth in which the decay hasn't reached the pulp, and since u have no pain or sensitivity from it, u can go ahead with the filling. Cap not required unless the tooth structure is broken badly..
Next Steps
Get the filling immediately. Don't delay your treatment anymore , if the cavity progresses further, then u will not have the option of filling!!
Health Tips
Avoid having too hot or too cold for few days. Brush twice and maintain your oral hygiene!

If it's closer to pulp, it's better you do a RCT and then place a crown....
