Conventional implants are best wen u hav sufficient bone ... Get Ur bone mapped and measured with a conebeam CT which gives you near accurate measurements and density..to get the biggest possible size of implant for the indicated site...this works best.. Consult a maxillofacial surgeon or a prosthodontist ( both trained in implantology) Get it done only after cbct assessment

Hi You can go for Dental implants.... As you go with implant you should not be a smoker and you should maintain your oral hygiene good.... other than implant you can have the option of Fixed bridges too... In that two teeth can be reduced on either side of edentulous (teeth missing) space over which crown has to be fixed
Next Steps
kindly visit dentist for further clinical examination and management

Hey hello! Conventional implants are a better option whenever possible. Clinical checkup is extremely important for the locations you have stated (molar region). Basal implants will not work for single tooth or even 2 or 3 teeth implants. Age is also an important factor. If your friend is also 21 years of age, the eruption of the 3rd molar should also be taken into consideration. Do visit a dentist as the details provided by you are not enough for any diagnosis and treatment plan. As for your question, basal implant will not last in your friend's case as you want only 2 or maybe 3 teeth replaced.

Better go for conventional two piece implants as they integrate with bone and become part of it.Once they integrate with bone their are little chances of it's failure if all other factors like proper occlusion , hygiene taken into consideration. Also in two piece conventional implants we can fix crown with screw rather than cement. So chances of crown removal on its own are less.and if needed dentist can unscrew it easily. I would rather suggest conventional implants over basal implants
Next Steps
visit prosthodontist
