Dear mom,
Teething is a natural process which may begin as early as 4 months and sometimes as late as 2 years. It is advisable to take your child for heir first dental visit by the time it's their first birthday. Please visit a Pediatric dentist who will be able to examine your son personally and give you the best advise possible.

Talk to experienced dentist online and get your health questions answered in just 5 minutes.
The eruption and shedding schedule of the deciduous teeth is subjective and varies from patient to patient. Discrepancy of plus minus 3 months is considered acceptable.
You can wait for sometime because even if you visit a dentist, the position of the teeth in the bone cannot be evaluated without an x-ray which should not be the first plan of action.
If the delay is too long then an x-ray will be recommended and will be done.
Regards.
