I am not able to think clearly. I have a fair job, fine relationship but something within me is making me sad and distressed. I can't focus on future. Nor can i live the present.

A vibrant Future is very important for present we live. Sometimes the low feeing is also due to chemical changes in our brain. Like low serotonin will keep mood low in general. So the factors can also be due to chemical changes. But this can be little bit changed with different exercise. I have referred you a book below by Otto which is a nice was. Also see a psychologist or a life coach who can help you sort all your goals and helps you make a action plan.

dear friend depression is unplugging your self physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually, you fell u become small in front of others, if this coniutes consistenly for more than a week this can be called depression

Hello Your sad mood and disturbed emotional state is clearly indicative of something bothering you for a while which you have mentioned but needs to be identified more clearly. Try taking out some time end of the day and write down thoughts that might have bothered you on everyday basis and introspect . Once you identify the factors, try to look for ways to resolve them. You may also talk to someone concerned and reliable about it and seek help. If still struggling take help from mental health professional .

Take out time for leasure activities, Regular Exercises, healthy diet, sleep for at least 8hrs, indulge in hobbies etc

Loss of interest, decreased concentration and attention, feeling low and disturbed sleep or appetite are some of the signs of depression. Consult a psychiatrist who will assess you in detail. If you are feeling suicidal or hopeless, seek professional help immediately. Try some relaxation techniques like yoga, meditation and deep breathing. Indulge in hobbies. Spend time with people close to you.
