Depression
I have recently been to see my GP as i have been experiencing symptoms of depression and anxiety for a few months now. She prescribed me anti depressants and anxiety medication but i am now struggling with work (getting up for work and also concentrating). Is there a way i can be signed off so i can take some time to sort my head out? I dont want to waste a doctors appointment if i will just be turned away.

Depressive disorder or depression is a neuro chemical disorder. Suicidal tendency is one main symptom of depression. You must be able to distinguish between mental disease and mental disorder. Your problem is a mental disorder. Not a mental disease. These mental disorders are usually treated with a combination of medicines and other means like awareness, meditation, Psychotherapy techniques, life style changes etc. Take care.
