Hello,
Avoiding food is not the solution for treating diabetes. You should eat but go for low carbohydrate diet like brown rice or phulkas or jawar roti or millets, plenty of vegetables, eggs but avoid sugary foods such as sweets, cakes, biscuits or outside food.
Exercise is very important. Despite these changes your sugars remain high, your medication dose might need changing or increased for which you need to consult your local doctor.
