Diabetes - My sugar level maintenance
I had my Hba1c tested about 1 year ago and it was around 8. I started exercising and controlling diet and now my fasting sugar is 109, pp is 163 and my Hba1c is 5.5. I am taking glimepride 1mg a day and Metformin 500 mg morning and evening. Please advise how to bring my sugar fasting and pp down to the accepted safe level

Your fasting and pp reports do not correlate with hba1c levels. At a level of 5.5, one needs to actually reduce the dose of medicines rather than increasing it. I suggest you repeat the test from a reliable lab.
