Different Pupil size
I can see my pupils are of different sizes, right pupil is bigger than left pupil in bright light aswell as darkness. It's not permanent but it comes and goes after I come home from outside after riding or driving. In the morning after waking up both Pupils are same size only slight difference sometimes. Had trauma to right eye in 2011. Also after using phone light found that the left pupil is always little smaller than right. Checked by ophthalmologist using pen light and said the Pupils are same size atleast for now, couldn't check fundus due to Corona. I am worried if it's neurological issue. Please help

while it could be a normal variant or due to trauma I dont see why fundus examination has not been done for you. Corona cannot be an excuse for not doing a proper fundus examination particularly with your clear history of irregular pupils. It could be neurological which must be ruled out as early as possible. If you are located in Bengaluru please find it convenient to come to our centre. regards, Dr Priya

Hi.. You hv already checked with Ophthal..so at least there are no other serious causes of you condition. And there is already a history of trauma ..which could easily cause this ..with no other side effects.. Some people normally also have this without any disease. So relax ..it is ok ..dont read up too much about the condition  on Google.

The trauma to your eye could have led to sphincter tear leading to resting pupillary size difference. Like you mentioned, you have got checked by ophthalmologist who must have checked direct and indirect pupillary reflex. If those are normal and your vision is not affected, you need not worry. A minor difference in pupillary size may be there without any pathology also.

Its normal to have  a difference  in pupillary size with no abnormality called physiological Anisocoria. At the same time some significant trauma can also cause the affected pupil to stay a little dilated / become larger in size . The only problem  it causes is monocular glare. So just get it checked to know the cause and then relax. Corona is here to stay so take adequate  precautions  and get your  eyes  checked.
