Contrast bath---It is a form of treatment where a limb or the entire body is immersed in warm water followed by the immediate immersion of the limb or body in ice water. This procedure is repeated several times, alternating hot and cold. Note that the treatment should always end in the ice water, as heat will induce the body's inflammatory response, while cold helps to decrease inflammation.

Greetings, sorry about the pain. She is suffering from quadriceps strain, meaning short and stiff thigh muscles.
Next Steps
visit a physio near you with knowledge about trigger point therapy and her problem is solved. you will be taught exercise to do, continue these and in 3 weeks you will have 100% recovery.
If one thigh is paining, sould be muscular issue , see a manual physiotherapist
If both the thighs are paining, should be a systemic issue, see a physician he will guide you where to go
