No ..Just stop getting traction at all...Meet manual physiotherapist immediately and request him to release your gluteals muscles especially piriformis bilateraly ......Working on thoracolumbar fascia ,q.lumborum , lattismus dorsi , gluteals (max, med, mini)and piriformis will cure and decompress your any nerve root or trunk if it's there ..Or else u will be corrected by all discomforts very soon ...Hardly 10 days
Next Steps
hard to believe but it won't take more than 10 days ..
Health Tips

If you are continuing to get pain even after all this time, then traction or other modalities may not help give a long term benefit. Have you had a recent MRI? This will help in planning for surgery if necessary. Even with surgery your numbness will take a long time to resolve. The main purpose of the surgery will be to help with the pain. Please see a Spinal Surgeon for assessment. Hope this helps. Dr Vinu Raj Consultant Spine Surgeon MBBS MRCS FRCS(Trauma&Orth)

Thorough assessment is needed to further plan the line of treatment for you. Only traction or any other modality cant do magic. A tailor made exercise program is needed.
