Distal radius fracture
Was diagnosed with Distal radius fracture (Left) in hand.. Asked to be in casting for 6 weeks.. 5 weeks over.. and wanted to remove the casting now.. Feel like getting other complications for past one month post this casting... Having shivering, temperature, body pain, stomach pain, fatigue for some days now...Is it safe to remove the casting now.. wat are the precautions to be followed as planning to remove at home.. will go fro X-ray after a day (wed).. Please advise if it is safe to remove now.. Pain is not there..

I would suggest you to compete the 6 week duration and get X-ray done after removing the cast. As you have chief complains of shivering body pain and stomach pain I would suggest you to take complete rest and avoid travelling and visiting hospital.As you know covid19 epidemic you need to have strong immunity and stay home stay safe

For distal radius fracture 6 weeks of time required for bone union. If you don't have pain and able to move fingers means no issues with the fracture. The problems mentioned are not due to fracture. And cast removal has to be done after seeing the x-rays.
