Dull pain in left lung
Hello doctor, For the past month, I have been feeling a wierd sensation in my left lung. It is not a sharp pain, but it causes discomfort and I can't stop thinking about it. I  have never smoked tobacco but I have been smoking cannabis for about 6 months, 3-4 times a week to help with my anxiety. The pain comes and goes, but for most of the day I don't feel the pain. But once I start thinking about it, it doesn't seem to go. I initially thought it was a breathing problem related to anxiety but I can distinctly feel that it is from left lung and my right lung feels totally fine.I do not face any problems breathing nor am I experiencing any other symptoms to my knowledge. I have also stopped smoking for about 2 weeks but the pain has not gone away. Please help me, this is making me very anxious to go to the hospital because I do not want my parents to know about this. Eagerly waiting for your reply.

Hi. I understand your concern s. The reason for all the symptoms is smoking and cannabis. At this young age do not spoil your health. You will need to undergo a detailed examination and investigation like chest x ray and pulmonary function test. Consult a pulmonologist for the same at the earliest. Do not neglect as it may worsen. You may also need help to quit smoking and cannabis.
