Early pregnancy
Hello,
I'm 5weeks pregnant. In US only gestational sac is visible as of now. Meanwhile I'm bleeding few drops then and there. I'm under medication as per doctors advise. Is this normal or abnormal?

It can be normal and abnormal too. While bleeding is NOT normal in pregnancy, many times such bleeding is there but pregnancy is fine.
The ONLY test which detemines a "Good pregnancy" from a bad one is it's quality to "Grow"
If the Medications like Progesterone is given and if the pregnancy grows it's fine.
if it doesn't grow, it means the bleeding was suggestive of an abortion process
Initially in Ultrasound ONLY Gestational Sac is seen. The Fetal pole may make a later appearance by 6-9 weeks. hence a repeat sonography is warranted to ascertain this growth along with appearanc eof fetal ehart sounds by 7weeks
