Eating mangoes
I am a diabetic patient and take the following medicines for the same gemerDapa xr(20+1+500) 1-0-1 Metformin 500mg 0-1-0 With lunch I am taking rice and a medium mango My post pondrial blood sugar level after 2hrs of lunch is 135-140mg/dl consecutively for 3 days Is it ok for me to eat mango once aday at lunch For dinner I avoid it .my fasting level are 100-110 range

Yes but one or two slices only . If you take full mango then don’t have proper dinner as only mango will be your dinner or lunch

You are doing fairly well with your it sugar levels; though I need to know a bit more about HbA1c and if any other complications before I suggested something else. Generalised Dapa xr can’t be 20/1/1000. It must be 10/2/1000 or 10/1/1000. Please check. Regarding mango in lunch. Usually a small portion 50 to max 100 gm is okay. Once in. A day provided you have good sugar control. Also, since you eating mango which reflects your interest in sugar and carbohydrate rich food. I would suggest to get vitamin b12 and vitamin d3 levels checked.

Not more than once and not more than 100 gm a day is mantra for sugar rich fruits such as Mango. We need to be careful as mango season has just started.

Hi., I can understand your concern. It's not advisable to eat full mango. You can take one or two small pieces. Continue medicine. Plan regular walking.

Yes you can have. But pls do walk for 10 minutes after having , so that it is metabolised.
