How often is echocardiogram done? I had one around 7 months back.. which ahowed 60% ef and trace MR AND AR I have been insisting my doctor for repeat echo since many weeks but he is not keen to do so telling me that heart structure wont change so soon hence no need but I feel classic symptoms of heart failure- every single heart beat is weak faint as if heart struggling to beat n pump blood. When I stand up i get short of breath and heart rate shoots up

Hello,
You do not have heart disease. You have some helth anxiety issues. No need to keep repeating Echo again and again. You can do it every 2-3 years. And for this fear of heart failure you should consult a psychiatrist not cardiologist
Take care

Hi mam. Usually young females will not affected by heart attack unless they are diabetic or smoker. So don't worry and go by your doctor advise. Other than echocardiogram any other investigations done like haemoglobin?
Different indication for doing an echo. You dont have to repeat echo frequently unless there is any structural abnormality. Your heart function is ok. The trace MR and AR are less likely to progress with this good heart function. The symptoms you are having is because of other conditions.
