Endometrial thickening
Hi. My mother observed blood stains and slight stomach ache a couple weeks ago post menopause and visited a gynaecologist. The doc suggested Pap smear test, ultrasound and pipelle biopsy as the endometrial thickening was high. The observation was fibroid uterus, thickened endometrium with bulky ovary. The results from Pap Smear test says "Intraepithelial lesion or malignancy: Negative", "Infection: Absent", "Reactive cellular changes:Absent" and "Many parabasal cells are seen indicating atrophic change". Serum CA 125 (ECLIA) is 8.2 u/ml. I have attached the biopsy results. Based on these details, is it possible to confirm if there is anything to be concerned? Are there any chances of endometrial cancer? What is the best approach to treat this?

Hi. I’m post menopausal bleeding, but he best way of doing biopsy is by hysteroscopy guidance where we send a camera in and take biopsy from suspicious lesions. However the pipelle here says polyp and benign. Best to follow up with a scan after one year and check endometrial thickness even if asymptomatic.
