Extrapulmonary tuberculosis (lymphnode)
Having treatment since 7 months ( on Rcinex for last 3 months ) lymph node size has been reduced after every sonography..Now having nausea , weakness indigestion for last few days and lost around (4kg weight ) my LFTs are normal.. What could be the possible reason behind that ? Drug resistant or something ? I have a busy schedule. I had already conducted GeneXPert 3 months back but was negative .

Hello there. I can understand your concern. Nausea , weakness and other things are possibly due to the anti-tuberculosis medicines which you are on. But that doesn't mean you should stop taking the Medicines. You can take a tab. Ondem once or twice a day half an hour before food for 3 days. Tab. Renerve-plus once a day after food for 15 days. Drink plenty of fluids. Best regards. Dr. Anil Kumar Jain. Bangalore.
