I am suffering from eye chalazion. Since 1 week I was getting it compressed with hot water 3 times a day as per its normal treatment I read it on net. But my problem is that the the chalazion is increasing with pain in it instead of getting reduced. Should I stop getting hot water compression?

Hello
There are 3 management strategies
A. Surgical excision and currettage...Gives immediate relief and is painless
B. Intralesional kenacort...Very effective and is painless
C. Hot fomentation followed by lid massage
... Inconsistent results
Only hot fomentation will not help...Lid massage is also necessary
