Yes its normal for you to feel sensitivity post scaling. Brush with a desensitizing paste twice a day, for a week to 10 days. You need to apply the paste on all teeth, leave it on for 15 minutes for it to act and then brush it off. Only then desensitizing paste works.
Hope this helps.

Its totally normal if the pain you are experiencing subsides within few seconds (15-20) after consumtion of the food.. if it lasts for longer duration or if u need to take a painkiller, do visit your dentist and get the health of your pulp checked. If the sensitivity is annoying, you can also ask for a desensitisation varnish which should be available at ur dentists office.
Next Steps
Observe for another week for increase or decrease in symptoms
It's pretty normal to feel sensitivity after teeth cleaning and varies depending on the amount of damage the deposits have done to your gums and teeth. THE MORE severe the damage the more longer you will feel sensitivity. Kindly use a antisensitivity toothpaste like Vantej or hydent k.
Hope it helps take care...
