My daughter age 1.5yrs, fell down from my arms face down to the ground.. Her nose started bleeding and ice pack was applied immediately.. After rushing to the nearest hospital, the doctor gave a painkiller syrup.. Her nose, forehead and lips are swollen slightly, but otherwise she is active and like her usual self.. As there is no external injuries and since the blood flow from nose stopped too, my concern is that if a scan required to rule out any internal injuries or blood clots etc..???

The signs of brain trauma are, altered behavior or consciousness and sleep pattern, persistent vomiting and seizure, all of which can occur up-to 72 hours in small children.
For swelling, apply ice packs for 5 mins each, repeat 4-6 hourly.
Give paracetamol for pain every 4 hours.
If above symptoms are not seen for 72 hours, avoid CT scan.
