Pyrexia (Fever) can be the result of an inflammation. Its a physiological process initiated by human body to deal with the microorganisms causing the problem. Inflammation is common after surgical extraction of tooth. That is why Non Steroidal Anti Inflammatory drugs are prescribed along with antibiotics to reduce inflammation and infection by microorganisms post surgery As you continue to take the drugs prescribed to you , you will notice subside of all the inflammation and pyrexic tendencies.
