Fever on and off

Asked for Male, 20 Years

My mother had fever from 2 days and then doctor prescribed her one antibiotics tablet and another tablet for fever with some injections. After that since yesterday she is hospitalised and temperature fluctuate continuosly but most of the times is 100 and 101 F what can be cause of this?
